PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teodors Ozolinsh (ranked 822 p4p, 94 weight class) and Atte Savitaipale (ranked 1809 p4p, 195 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Savitaipale's choice of entrance music: Roger Whittaker - Finnish Whistler. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Savitaipale working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Savitaipale is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ozolinsh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Savitaipale.

Savitaipale is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ozolinsh frees his head nicely. Oh but Savitaipale has switched to an armbar! Ozolinsh is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
