The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lassiter thumps Menezes with a low kick.
Gabriel Menezes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Menezes is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lassiter is keeping busy.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Menezes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lassiter throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Lassiter looks to land a body kick but Menezes moved away.

Lassiter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Lassiter.
Lassiter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Menezes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Menezes closes the distance but Lassiter moves to the side
and Lassiter counters with a nice leg kick.
Menezes misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lassiter counters with a nice right hand that sends Menezes toppling to the canvas! Menezes scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lassiter finish him?!
Menezes is rocked!
It looks like Gabriel Menezes has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Lassiter.
Oh Menezes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Menezes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Menezes is breathing heavily.
Lassiter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lassiter lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Menezes falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

After the fight, Slade Lassiter was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
