Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oranjinho Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Vippera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pires comes to the cage accompanied by Runes to My Memory - Amon Amarth. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vippera circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vippera looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pires looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pires fails with the takedown.
Pires ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vippera moves away.
Pires pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vippera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pires closes the distance and clinches up with Vippera, looking for a takedown. Pires pushes Vippera against the cage but Vippera circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oranjinho Pires. That's going to take a lot out of him.

so Pires counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pires throws a big right hand that misses.
Pires tries to free his leg and advance position but Vippera is retaining full guard.

Pires seems to be working for a kimura but Vippera defends the submission attempt.
Vippera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pires. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pires wants to work for an arm triangle but Vippera is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pires drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vippera manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pires has Vippera in his guard.

Pires is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vippera throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pires's body to avoid the submission. Pires has instead reached around Vippera's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pires arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
