The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Suo!
A punch lands to the side of Ishida 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Uoi Ishida has been cut.
Ishida uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Suo.
Suo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ishida moves into the clinch.
Suo is trying to break the clinch but Ishida is controlling him.
Ishida gets through Suo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ishida avoids a wild elbow strike from Suo.

Suo has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Ishida rushes Suo and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Ishida prevents Suo from breaking the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suo has had enough of the clinch but Ishida keeps him there for the moment.
Ishida lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suo tries to circle away but Ishida has him pinned against the ropes.

Ishida has Suo pressed against the ropes, preventing Suo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ishida here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Ishida pushes Suo back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Suo wants to get back to striking at distance but Ishida won't allow it.

Suo throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Ishida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ishida clips Suo with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Suo a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Suo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Uoi Ishida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ishida staggers Suo with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Suo looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! No! He's back down again! 9...10 - he's can't beat the count and Ishida is victorious!
