Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Erick Clap (ranked 2215 p4p, 232 weight class) and Vesa Sykk (ranked 422 p4p, 51 weight class). Clap comes to the ring accompanied by Burn it to the ground. Sykk has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 9 - 2, fighting out of New York, Erick Clap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
37 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Vesa Sykk!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clap checks a low kick from Sykk.

Sykk throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sykk throws a shot from downtown. Clap moves away and avoids it.
Sykk misses with a body shot.
A shot to the liver by Clap. Beautiful body shot.
Sykk tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Clap is able to avoid easily.

Sykk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A quick step to the side and Clap tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sykk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sykk shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sykk lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Clap cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Sykk goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sykk on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Clap takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Clap bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sykk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Clap counters with a three punch combo that has Sykk backing up. Sykk nods at Clap to acknowledge the strikes.

Clap is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

That was a close round but I would say that Erick Clap will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Clap lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clap misses with a body kick.
Clap throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Erick Clap dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erick Clap.
Well Clap has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
