The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Centurion avoids a punch combination nicely.
Blerim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Centurion circles away quickly and effectively.

Blerim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Centurion.

Centurion is pressing down on Blerim's thigh, looking to free his foot. Blerim is holding on for now.

Centurion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blerim is just riding it out for now. Centurion eventually gives up the hold.

Centurion is tying to control. Blerim wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Centurion looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blerim with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Centurion is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Blerim has managed to free his arm - good work.
Blerim wants to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blerim can do anything to dispel that myth.

Centurion is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Blerim defends it well.
Centurion moves into full mount! Blerim won't be happy about that!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Centurion closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

No joy there for Blerim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Centurion cracks Blerim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Blerim defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Centurion.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Centurion cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A telegraphed right hand from Blerim misses the target.
Blerim looks to score with a jab to the body but Centurion is just out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Blerim. That snapped Centurion's head back.

Vicente Centurion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Centurion has hold of Blerim's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Blerim tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Centurion cranks the arm and Blerim screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Blerim, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
