PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cave (ranked 3895 p4p, 476 weight class) and Carlos Araujo (ranked 5298 p4p, 587 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Cave has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Cave seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Cave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo closes the distance and clinches up with Cave, looking for a takedown. Araujo pushes Cave against the cage but Cave circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cave throws a head kick but Araujo moves out of range.
Cave misses with the combination.
Cave punishes Araujo's body with a nice straight punch.
Cave circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cave lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cave moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cave lands a jab to the head.
Araujo shoots for a double leg takedown but Cave sprawls well. He's pushed Araujo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Araujo throws a combination that misses
and Cave counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Araujo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cave connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nick Cave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Araujo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cave changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Cave connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Araujo to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Cave!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nick Cave!
Post fight, Nick Cave stared into the camera and said 'i amost thought about retire after my last fight but i will keep on a little more!'.
