Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Broke Back!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vazquez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Back.
Vazquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
It seemed like Back was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Back avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Back looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Broke Back seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Back missing with a left hand there. Vazquez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Back waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vazquez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Back throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Back is looking to take a break and control but Vazquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vazquez bucks up and tries to throw Back off but instead Back has got his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Vazquez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Vazquez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Back avoids it really well and circles away.

Vazquez shoots in looking for a takedown. Back tries to sprawl out of it but Vazquez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Back manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Back walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vazquez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Back. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Broke Back showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Back has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vazquez lands a couple of elbows.
Back not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vazquez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Back's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vazquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Vazquez throws a big elbow that misses.
Back utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Back looks to land a left hand but Vazquez moved out of range nicely.
Vazquez tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Back counters with a straight right hand.
Vazquez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Back.
Some wild striking there from Back.
Vazquez tries to counter with a takedown but Back is quick to defend against it.

Back throws a lazy right hand but Vazquez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vazquez throws a solid leg kick but Back takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vazquez.
Henry Vazquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Vazquez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Back won't be happy with that.
Vazquez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Vazquez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Back will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Back is looking to reverse the position.
Broke Back is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

You can see the frustration on Back's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Vazquez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Back sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
