Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Burt The Hurt (ranked 8195 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Savano (ranked 23383 p4p, 0 weight class). The Hurt comes to the cage accompanied by Stayin' Alive. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Troy Savano was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hurt lands a head kick. Savano smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The Hurt lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Savano fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The Hurt drops down looking for a counter takedown but Savano sprawls and moves away.

and The Hurt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by The Hurt.
Savano is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but The Hurt is defending well.

The Hurt breaks from the clinch.
Savano blocks a head kick by The Hurt.
The Hurt fakes the leg kick and cracks Savano in the body.

The Hurt moves into the clinch.

The Hurt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The Hurt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Savano to the mat! Savano manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The Hurt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Savano connects with a body shot.
The Hurt throws a sloppy head kick and Savano moves out of range easily.

Savano tries to keep at a distance but The Hurt has taken the fight into the clinch.
Savano is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The Hurt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Savano tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The Hurt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Savano, pushing him back against the cage.
Savano jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Hurt walks away with a smile on his face. Savano gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Burt The Hurt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Troy Savano.

Savano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Hurt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Savano wants to control but The Hurt is having none of it.

Savano doesn't manage to clinch there - The Hurt circles away.

Savano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by The Hurt.

The Hurt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Savano to the ground. The Hurt is now in Savano's guard.
Savano looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but The Hurt puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Hurt has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The Hurt prevents Savano from getting the reversal.
The Hurt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The Hurt lands a big head kick that sends Savano tumbling to the mat! The Hurt takes a step backwards and waves Savano back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The Hurt is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Savano is in big trouble! The Hurt is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Savano. Poor guy.
