Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Augustus Tyler (ranked 24960 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 5976 p4p, 0 weight class). Augustus Tyler is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connor rushes Tyler and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Connor using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tyler has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Connor tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Connor lands a hook to the side of the head.

Connor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Connor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
As Connor looks to move away, Tyler throws a big counter combo but Connor just gets out of the way.

Connor forces Tyler back against the cage and clinches.
Tyler is trying to pull guard but Connor has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A short left from Connor.

Connor gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Tyler kicks Connor off and gets back to his feet.

Connor unleashes a big counter combination but Tyler bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Connor lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Augustus Tyler has been cut.
Connor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Connor lands a head kick. Tyler smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Connor thuds his right hand into Tyler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Connor throws a big shot that misses.
Connor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyler sprawls well. Tyler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Connor gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Connor.
Connor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tyler.
Connor throws a right and a left that Tyler avoids nicely.
Tyler could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Connor leaves Tyler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tyler moves in looking to clinch but Connor pushes him off.

Connor throws a sloppy head kick and Tyler moves out of range easily.
Tyler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Connor circles away.

Connor throws a series of punches but Tyler avoids them all with ease.
Connor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tyler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Connor swivels and escapes.
Connor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyler manages to avoid it.

Connor tries to bum rush Tyler with a series of wild strikes but Tyler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Connor punishes Tyler's body with a nice straight punch.
Tyler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Connor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Connor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tyler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Connor avoids it really well and circles away.

Tyler has Connor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Connor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Connor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tyler.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tyler doesn't manage to clinch there - Connor circles away.

Connor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Tyler gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Connor.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tyler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tyler drops an elbow to the side of Connor's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Connor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Connor misses with an uppercut.
Tyler takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Connor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tyler's hands.

Tyler is rocked!

Connor moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Tyler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Connor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyler throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Connor counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Tyler badly! Connor follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Tyler out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Connor finished him against the cage.
