Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shane Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolores Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes into the arena with Down with Shane blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Velasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dolores Haze!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze looks to land a left hand but Velasquez moved out of range nicely.
Haze throws a nice looking combination but Velasquez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Haze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Haze lands in his opponent's guard.
Velasquez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haze looking to pass the guard.
Haze stopping the sweep attempt from Velasquez.
Haze trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom.
Haze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Velasquez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Haze but Haze pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Haze gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Haze will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Haze looking for a guillotine here but Velasquez defends easily.
Haze working for a triangle but Velasquez defends it easily.

Velasquez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Velasquez wants to control from the top but Haze keeps moving.
Haze wants to sweep here but Velasquez controlling him for the moment.

Velasquez drops back looking for a leg! Haze is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haze manages to kick Velasquez off! Velasquez jumps back into Haze's guard.

Haze is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Velasquez is trying to get an arm triangle but Haze is defending well.

Velasquez blocks the strikes from Haze.
Haze throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Velasquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Velasquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Haze tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Velasquez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Haze tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Haze clinches with his opponent.
Haze pulls guard successfully.
Velasquez is sitting in close to Haze's body. Haze has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Velasquez is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Velasquez is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Haze.
