The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long tries to close the distance and clinch up but Landen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Landen appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Long throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Landen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Long misses with an uppercut. Landen saw that one coming.
An inside leg kick lands from Landen.
Landen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Landen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Landen connects with an inside leg kick.
Long misses with the body kick
enabling Landen to counter with a crisp jab.
Long throws a nice looking combination but Landen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Landen looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Long throws a right and a left that both miss.
Long throws a lazy head kick
and Long takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Brandon Long has been cut.

Long throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Landen counters with a nice uppercut.
Long throws an off balance right hand
and Landen counters with a low kick, right behind Long 's knee.

Landen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Landen is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Long is hurt! He's hurt bad - Landen fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Long from any more punishment! Congratulations to Landen! Great finish!

Paul Landen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
