The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michima clinches up with Romero and pushes him back against the cage.
Michima fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Romero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Michima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Romero swats away the attempt to clinch by Michima.
Romero misses with the combination.
Romero circles away from the clinch attempt.
Romero throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Kazuya Michima has been cut.
Michima could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Michima misses with an uppercut. Romero saw that one coming.
Romero paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kazuya Michima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Michima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Romero thuds a left hand into Michima's body.

Romero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Michima, pushing him back against the cage.

Romero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romero misses with a jab, cross combination.
Michima fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Romero checks it well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Michima tries to stall but Romero uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Romero lands a body punch.
Michima is breathing heavily.
Romero lands with a short shot to the head.

Romero manages to break the clinch.

Michima's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Romero lands a hook that snaps the head of Michima backwards.

Romero breaks from the clinch.
Romero lands with a big right hook that stumbles Michima - he's out on his feet here! Romero follows up with another monster hook that separates Michima from consciousness! Michima falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Romero stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
