The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez throws a combination. Blighton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Alvarez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blighton quickly recovers to half guard.

Alvarez lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Blighton quite badly. Blighton pulls Alvarez in close trying to recover. Alvarez postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Blighton on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Blighton doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Avila Alvarez!
Avila Alvarez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
