The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDougal gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDougal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McDougal has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McDougal!

McDougal is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Royce Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.
Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

McDougal stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

McDougal isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks McDougal on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McDougal, who protects the arm well.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDougal keeps working.
McDougal is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
