The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beliy was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomas.
Beliy misses with a looping left.
Beliy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thomas. That did some damage!
Thomas with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A punch lands to the side of Beliy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Thomas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Beliy ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Thomas stuns Beliy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beliy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beliy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Thomas misses with an uppercut.
As Thomas backs away, Beliy returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Thomas's coach down at Scouse House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thomas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Thomas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Beliy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thomas scrambles back to his feet.
Thomas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thomas is still on wobbly legs! Can Beliy finish him?
Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beliy.
Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beliy moves away.
Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Beliy finds Thomas's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Thomas flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Beliy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Thomas will be OK.
