Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barbados Slim (ranked 6522 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierce Ottoade (ranked 3927 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce Ottoade is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Barbados Slim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pierce Ottoade!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ottoade throws a jab but it's blocked by Slim.
A big right from Ottoade misses.
Slim wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Ottoade scores with a hook to the body. Slim takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slim doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ottoade counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ottoade fails to land with a series of punches.
Ottoade leaves Slim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Slim keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ottoade.
Slim tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ottoade manages to circle out of the way.
Slim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ottoade pinned against the cage. Ottoade gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barbados Slim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Slim.
Ottoade leaves Slim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ottoade scores with a body shot.
Slim throws a sloppy head kick and Ottoade moves out of range easily.
Ottoade misses the jab.
Ottoade fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Slim has a takedown stuffed.
Slim is breathing heavily.
Slim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ottoade swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A left lands for Ottoade.
Ottoade throws the left hand but Slim avoids the punch easily.
Ottoade takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pierce Ottoade is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ottoade cracks Slim with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ottoade has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Slim to stand back up!

Slim is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slim gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Ottoade points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Slim wakes up just in time to hear Ottoade thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
