The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hulk to the mat! Hulk manages to get full guard.

Hulk throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Shaw escapes and throws Hulk's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hulk tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Shaw decides to stand back up. Shaw steps back and let's Hulk get back to his feet.
Ewens Hulk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hulk has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Shaw is on him like a limpet, forcing Hulk back against the cage.

Hulk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shaw tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hulk is in Shaw's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Shaw manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shaw enables Hulk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hulk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
