Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toni Eerkilaa (ranked 1703 p4p, 218 weight class) and Ueda Umanouke (ranked 1967 p4p, 247 weight class). Umanouke has chosen Kenji Kawai's Making of a Cyborg as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umanouke gets the takedown into side control.
Umanouke in side control, throwing shots but Eerkilaa defends.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eerkilaa parries the strikes from Umanouke easily there. Umanouke is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Eerkilaa to escape.

Eerkilaa gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Umanouke jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Eerkilaa manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Umanouke in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Eerkilaa is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ueda Umanouke!
Ueda Umanouke tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
