The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilfheim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Esposito manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nilfheim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Esposito swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A counter left hand to the body from Esposito misses its target.
Nilfheim takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Esposito loads up on a big right hand but Nilfheim slips the punch.

Nilfheim shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nilfheim tries to clinch but Esposito is having none of it.
Nilfheim moves out of range of the strikes.
Nilfheim swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Esposito misses the jab.

Nilfheim closes the distance and pushes Esposito back into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nilfheim creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Nilfheim misses with a punch on the inside.
Nilfheim misses with the head strike.
Nilfheim scores with a nice hook to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nilfheim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
David Esposito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Esposito swings for the body but Nilfheim moves out of range.

Nilfheim clinches up with Esposito and pushes him back against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nilfheim just misses with a elbow thrown towards Esposito's brow.
Esposito is trying to break the clinch but Nilfheim has him pressed against the cage.
Esposito looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Nilfheim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Esposito misses with a body punch

and Nilfheim counters with a right hand that sends Esposito tumbling to the canvas! Can Nilfheim finish him? He dives into Esposito's guard looking to do just that!

Esposito is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Esposito is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Oh Esposito is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nilfheim loads up on a big left hand. Esposito felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nilfheim looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Esposito can't hide his disappointment, as Nilfheim celebrates the victory.
