Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between General Tso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Tso avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vargas throws a series of punches but Tso moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tso wants to stand and escape but instead Vargas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vargas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vargas on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vargas seems to be working for a kimura but Tso defends the submission attempt.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tso has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vargas regains guard immediately.
Tso tries to stand but Vargas is controlling from the bottom.

Vargas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vargas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tso is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vargas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tso's back instead.

Vargas is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Tso knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Tso for a finish.
