Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mususuko Vatanabe (ranked 6686 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mass Hitta (ranked 6694 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vatanabe dives in for a single leg takedown but Hitta sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hitta closes the distance and pushes Vatanabe back into the cage.
Hitta fails to pull guard.

Hitta escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hitta lands a really nice looking cross but Vatanabe seems unphased.

It looks like Mususuko Vatanabe has been cut.
Vatanabe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hitta but Hitta pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hitta shoots in for a takedown but Vatanabe shows good takedown defense.
Hitta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vatanabe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hitta somewhat.
Vatanabe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Mususuko Vatanabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mass Hitta.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hitta throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Vatanabe stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Hitta follows into mount!

Hitta wants to control the pace but Vatanabe is squirming around nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hitta looking to ground and pound but Vatanabe is blocking nicely.

Vatanabe wants to hold on but Hitta pushes him away.
Vatanabe is squirming around, avoiding Hitta's attempts to control the action.
Vatanabe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vatanabe is desperately trying to improve his position but Hitta has a good base and remains in mount.

Hitta misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Vatanabe wants to control but Hitta is having none of it.
Vatanabe really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Poor strikes thrown by Hitta there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vatanabe is trying desperately to improve position.

Hitta won't let Vatanabe get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Hitta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Hitta might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Vatanabe can't escape the position.
Hitta tries to control but Vatanabe wriggling away.
Hitta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hitta throws some wild stikes that Vatanabe manages to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mass Hitta dominated that round.

Hitta moves in looking to clinch but Vatanabe pushes him off.
Hitta stuffs the takedown.
Hitta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vatanabe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vatanabe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hitta lands a jab to the head.
Hitta throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Vatanabe colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Hitta as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Vatanabe is left battered and dazed whilst Hitta and his camp cheer!
