Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blaze Max (ranked 6981 p4p, 679 weight class) and Deshawn Shaw (ranked 5686 p4p, 591 weight class). Max kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Charlie Don't Surf. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Max shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Max is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Shaw keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Max throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Max throwing shots but Shaw is blocking nicely.
Max thows a huge punch but Shaw dodges it nicely.
Shaw has hold of Max's hands but Max slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Max in particular looking to stall.

Max is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Max lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Shaw quite badly. Shaw pulls Max in close trying to recover. Max postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Shaw on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Shaw doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Blaze Max really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Project Mayhem logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
