Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Stamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamp has chosen I got a feeling as his entrance music. Jason Tate could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gerald Stamp's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerald Stamp!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamp looks to land a left hand but Tate moved out of range nicely.
Tate avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tate keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Horrible takedown by Stamp or perhaps it was just good defense by Tate which made him look bad.
Tate could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Stamp takes a jab right on the kisser.


It looks like Gerald Stamp has been cut.

Jason Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerald Stamp.
Stamp swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Stamp jumps guard but Tate stands there with Stamp around his waist. Stamp gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stamp is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tate pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stamp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Tate counters with a straight right hand.

Stamp shoots for a takedown but Tate saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gerald Stamp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stamp circles away quickly and effectively.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Stamp gets control of Tate's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stamp will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Stamp thuds his right hand into Tate's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tate lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stamp shoots for a double leg takedown but Tate sprawls well. He's pushed Stamp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stamp wants to clinch up but Tate keeps it at a distance.
Tate is looking to clinch but Stamp is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tate scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tate throws a series of punches but Stamp avoids them all with ease.
Stamp tries to clinch but Tate moves out of range.
A left and a right from Tate both land. Nice combination.
Stamp closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Tate! Stamp dives in looking to finish! Tate is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerald Stamp!
