Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Maximus (ranked 101 p4p, 11 weight class) and Beast Putin (ranked 247 p4p, 28 weight class). Beast Putin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Our spies down at at LOD Gym of the Gods inform us that Putin has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Putin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maximus defends it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
