The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McLachlan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Foster did well to prevent McLachlan getting side control.
McLachlan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
McLachlan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Foster knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Foster is looking to improve his position.
Foster blocking the ground and pound attempt from McLachlan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Foster manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Foster looking to control.
Foster looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLachlan is one step ahead there.

Foster is looking for a triangle but McLachlan pushes his legs off easily.
Foster not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McLachlan controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

McLachlan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Foster's half guard.

Foster is looking for a sweep. McLachlan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Foster could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McLachlan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McLachlan in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster regains full guard. Nicely done.

McLachlan stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Foster throws up his legs and catches McLachlan in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! McLachlan tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Foster! That came out of nowhere!
