PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Byers (ranked 25478 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Ramirez (ranked 5645 p4p, 487 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Julio Ramirez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byers shoots for a takedown but Ramirez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ramirez throws a fast counter high kick but Byers manages to duck under it in time.
Byers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez avoids it really well and circles away.
Byers looks for a takedown but Ramirez sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacques Byers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Byers tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ramirez wants to counter with a clinch but Byers pushes him away.

Ramirez wants to get back to his feet but Byers is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
