Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Chief!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Strange!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chief misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Strange looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Chief tries for a takedown but Strange circles away easily

and Strange counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chief won't be happy with that.
Chief is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Chief tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chief parries the strikes from Strange easily there. Strange is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Chief to escape.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Strange has eaten all the pies!

Strange is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chief has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strange is looking to take a break and control but Chief is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Strange throws an elbow but Chief slips to the side and avoids it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Strange is trying to get an arm triangle but Chief is defending well.

Strange is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chief is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chief is not content to let Strange control the position.
Chief tries to bench press Strange off him but Strange keeps the position.
Strange landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Chief knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strange on the ground.
Chief is trying to control Strange's posture but Strange avoids it.

Strange thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Chief is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Strange has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Chief will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Strange missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chief is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Strange stopping the sweep attempt from Chief.
Strange postures up in Chief's guard and throws a big left but Chief blocks it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Strange postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Horrible takedown attempt by Chief or perhaps it was just good defense by Strange, which made it look bad.

Chief slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chief accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Strange wants to sweep here but Chief controlling him for the moment.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Chief is fighting to break Strange's control of his arms but Strange is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
