Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kay Ector (ranked 140 p4p, 18 weight class) and Tony Ramos (ranked 156 p4p, 20 weight class). Ector comes to the cage accompanied by Monster!. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ector cracks Ramos with an open hand slap.
Ramos stalks Ector and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ector's face. Ector staggers backwards, shaken.
Ector walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ector tries to clinch but Ramos is having none of it.
Ramos lands with a hook. Ector tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ramos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ramos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ramos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ramos has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ector regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ector is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ramos 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ramos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ector looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
