Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slade Wilson (ranked 1692 p4p, 235 weight class) and Mike Reilly (ranked 1177 p4p, 173 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Hypnotize - The Notorious B.I.G.. Reilly has chosen The Whispers - Rock Steady as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 3, fighting out of London, Slade Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wilson.
Wilson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wilson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Reilly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reilly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wilson on the side of the head.
Reilly fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wilson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've been told by Wilson's head coaches at London MMA Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nice jab there from Wilson.
Reilly tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance.
Reilly throws a lazy right hand but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Reilly lands a lovely overhand right.

Reilly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reilly lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wilson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wilson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mike Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reilly takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Reilly keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reilly. That's going to slow Wilson down.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Reilly enables Wilson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reilly manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Slade Wilson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reilly can do anything to dispel that myth.

A little feinted left hand from Wilson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Reilly connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wilson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reilly isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wilson stacks Reilly on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wilson!
Reilly takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Slade Wilson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Slade Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wilson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reilly is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Reilly is not content to let Wilson control the position.

Well Wilson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
