Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Tiger (ranked 1424 p4p, 158 weight class) and Mike Rutherford (ranked 1627 p4p, 180 weight class). Rutherford has chosen Genesis - Deep in the Motherlode as his entrance music. Tony Tiger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rutherford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tiger has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tiger and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rutherford throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tiger wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Tiger checks a leg kick.
Rutherford pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've been told by Tiger's head coaches at Ferocious Beast that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Tiger clinches.
Tiger lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Tiger lands an elbow inside that Rutherford shrugs off.

It looks like Mike Rutherford has been cut.
Tiger throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Tiger throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rutherford blocks it with crossed arms.
Tiger lands an elbow that stopped Rutherford in his tracks for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rutherford is trying to pull guard but Tiger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Tiger unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Tiger misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rutherford.
Tiger lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Rutherford tries to work over Tiger's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rutherford tries to pull guard but Tiger forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Rutherford is rocked!
Tiger using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Tiger jerks Rutherford's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Rutherford drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Tiger goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Tiger because Rutherford was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
