Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Templar (ranked 7852 p4p, 539 weight class) and Lewis Lee (ranked 5446 p4p, 449 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lee's choice of entrance music: Shoots and Ladders. Lewis Lee has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Phoenix Templar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Phoenix Templar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Lewis Lee!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a hook to the body
and Templar counters with a nice uppercut.
Lee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lee throws a hook to the side of Templar's head but Templar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Templar avoids the body shot from Lee.
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Templar moves away.
Templar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Templar misses with an uppercut
and Lee counters with a low kick, right behind Templar 's knee.
Lee jabs Templar to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lewis Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Templar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Templar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Templar, into his guard.


Templar has an active guard here but Lee has managed to pass into half guard.

Templar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lee pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lewis Lee!
Lewis Lee decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
