Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Roadcap Jr (ranked 6523 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aston Davids (ranked 6476 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Roadcap Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aston Davids!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Roadcap Jr.
Davids tries to buck Roadcap Jr off but Roadcap Jr is having none of it.
Roadcap Jr trying to control the position but Davids is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davids tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davids tries to lock up and control but Roadcap Jr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Roadcap Jr jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davids manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Roadcap Jr cracks Davids with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Davids is not content to let Roadcap Jr control the position.
Roadcap Jr is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Davids will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Davids wants to get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
You can see the frustration on Davids's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Davids is looking for a sweep.
A lull in the action here.
Davids tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Davids should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Roadcap Jr is staying tight to Davids's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Roadcap Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davids but Davids pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Davids fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roadcap Jr is looking to clinch but Davids is avoiding it.

Davids closes the distance and pushes Roadcap Jr back into the cage.
Roadcap Jr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Davids's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Davids darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Davids content to control rather than advance.
Roadcap Jr keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Roadcap Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Roadcap Jr wants to control but Davids is keeping busy.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Roadcap Jr will probably get the nod.

Roadcap Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davids swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Davids stuffs the takedown.

Roadcap Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Roadcap Jr tries to break free but Davids pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Roadcap Jr's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Davids breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Roadcap Jr fails with the takedown.
As Roadcap Jr backs off Davids throws a huge counter combo but Roadcap Jr manages to avoid it all.

Roadcap Jr gets a takedown into half guard.
Davids wants to stand back up but Roadcap Jr manages to pass into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

You can see the frustration on Davids's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Davids tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Roadcap Jr easily slips into full mount!

Davids is looking to improve his position but Roadcap Jr isn't that keen on the idea.

Roadcap Jr lands a big elbow.
Roadcap Jr won't let Davids get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Roadcap Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Davids bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Roadcap Jr had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davids defends it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Roadcap Jr will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Roadcap Jr shoots in but Davids avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Davids misses with an attempted mid kick.
Davids fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roadcap Jr avoids it really well and circles away.
Davids throws a sloppy head kick and Roadcap Jr moves out of range easily.
Davids tries to clinch but Roadcap Jr is having none of it.
Roadcap Jr drops down looking for a counter takedown but Davids sprawls and moves away.
Roadcap Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Davids gets double underhooks and turns Roadcap Jr into the cage.
Davids tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Roadcap Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Davids fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roadcap Jr sprawls well initially but Davids persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roadcap Jr is staying active underneath Davids, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Roadcap Jr is just content to waste time from the top position. Davids takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Davids is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Roadcap Jr is controlling him.

Roadcap Jr dives in and grabs Davids's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davids pushes down on Roadcap Jr's head and hops out.

Davids moves into the clinch successfully.

Davids is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Roadcap Jr can't fight it off and eventually Davids manages to take the fight to the floor. Roadcap Jr looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Roadcap Jr is wriggling around but Davids manages to pass to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Davids tries to pass the half guard into mount. Roadcap Jr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aston Davids comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Roadcap Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
