Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Warren (ranked 8967 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Lancaster (ranked 5192 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Warren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Lancaster!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Warren.
Warren lands some shots froms side control.
Warren is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Warren working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lancaster can't do much from the bottom here.
Warren happy to just control the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lancaster keeps working.

Lancaster tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Warren wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Warren knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lancaster on the ground.

Warren is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lancaster is just riding it out for now. Warren eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Warren seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Warren gets a double leg takedown into Lancaster's guard.
Warren is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Lancaster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warren doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warren manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Warren stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Lancaster throws up his legs and catches Warren in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Warren tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Lancaster! That came out of nowhere!
