The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Whitfield misses.
Behenna is looking for the big counter here.

Whitfield dives in and scores a takedown into Behenna's guard.

Behenna pushes Whitfield off and scrambles back to his feet.
Whitfield could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Behenna throws a big counter head kick but Whitfield avoids it with no problem.

Behenna shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Behenna throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Behenna decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Behenna throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Whitfield tries to keep at a distance but Behenna has taken the fight into the clinch.

Whitfield has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Behenna after a bit of a struggle.

Behenna working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whitfield doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whitfield manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Behenna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Behenna is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Behenna seems to be working for a kimura but Whitfield defends the submission attempt.

Behenna thows a huge punch but Whitfield dodges it nicely.
Whitfield has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Behenna is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Behenna has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whitfield can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Behenna looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Whitfield has picked Behenna up and slammed him! Behenna can't keep hold of the triangle and Whitfield manages to pass to side control!
Behenna is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Behenna has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Behenna is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Whitfield has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Behenna looking to score a takedown here. Whitfield is defending well but Behenna drives through and ends up in Whitfield's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Behenna keeps control of the position as Whitfield tries to break free.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Behenna is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Whitfield has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Whitfield is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Behenna.
Dan Behenna has got the better of the ground game so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Whitfield trying to control the action but Behenna just sinks the hooks in.
Behenna is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Let's hope that Behenna has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dan Behenna showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Whitfield goes for a takedown attempt but Behenna pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Behenna feints and as Whitfield raises his hands in defense, Behenna changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Behenna is looking to work some ground and pound but Whitfield has wrist control.

Behenna stands up and waves to Whitfield to follow him.
Dan Behenna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whitfield misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Behenna moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Whitfield! Behenna continues to tee off on Whitfield, landing with a left and a right! Behenna connects with a right hand that leaves Whitfield sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Behenna!
