The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson moves into the clinch.

Zimmerman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zimmerman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Zimmerman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Zimmerman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Zimmerman throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Zimmerman circles away.
Zimmerman was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Zimmerman is avoiding it.
Zimmerman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Zimmerman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zimmerman moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Zimmerman cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Steve Jackson has been cut.

and Zimmerman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zimmerman throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zimmerman.
Jackson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jackson moves out of range of the body kick from Zimmerman.
That kick from Zimmerman tenderised Jackson's leg. Jackson is trying to keep his angry face on.
