The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jacobs is trying to work for a kimura but Jafari is defending well.
Jafari is trying to control but can't.
Jacobs looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacobs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jacobs uses his free foot to push down on Jafari's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jafari.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jafari has left one of his arms exposed and Jacobs doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jafari screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
