The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arnessen instigates a clinch.
Arnessen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Fitzpatrick is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Arnessen to keep the fight standing.

Fitzpatrick is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitzpatrick is pushing down on Arnessen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Arnessen is fighting to maintain full guard but Fitzpatrick has managed to sneak the leg through.

Fitzpatrick is trying to work for a kimura but Arnessen is defending well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fitzpatrick in particular looking to stall.

Fitzpatrick is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fitzpatrick uses his free foot to push down on Arnessen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Arnessen.

Fitzpatrick's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Fitzpatrick is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Arnessen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Arnessen!

Arnessen is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fitzpatrick has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Arnessen is looking to defend but Fitzpatrick has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Arnessen! Fitzpatrick pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Arnessen taps out and this one is all over!
