Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thad Lee (ranked 9072 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Kidman (ranked 8439 p4p, 0 weight class). Kidman has chosen You Can Run as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thad Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Kidman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kidman gets the takedown into side control.

Kidman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lee to his feet.
Kidman throws a push kick but Lee slaps the foot to one side.
Lee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kidman stuffs the takedown.

Kidman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lee can't do much from the bottom here.

Kidman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kidman's guard! Nice work there by Lee!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Kidman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kidman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kidman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!

Kidman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kidman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kidman content to stall in guard here.
Kidman slips nicely into half guard.
Kidman thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.
Kidman is controlling the pace.

Kidman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lee is just riding it out for now. Kidman eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Well, if Kidman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kidman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kidman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lee on his heels. He'll look to pass Lee's guard now, I'm sure.

Kidman has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lee's body.
Let's hope that Kidman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kidman is continuing to stall.

Even with his hooks in, Kidman manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Kidman trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Lee doesn't escape.

Kidman is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lee is defending well though. Kidman let's go of the attempt for now.
Kidman is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kidman gets his hands free as Lee looks to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Kidman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Kidman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kidman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kidman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kidman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kidman is in Lee's guard.
Kidman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lee is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kidman presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Lee is trying to drag Kidman to the mat but Kidman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kidman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kidman is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thad Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well Kidman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
