Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bill Bronson (ranked 1325 p4p, 135 weight class) and Magomedrasul Khasbulaev (ranked 1757 p4p, 193 weight class). Khasbulaev has chosen Fetty Wap - Trap Queen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bill Bronson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bill Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Magomedrasul Khasbulaev!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Khasbulaev misses

so Bronson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Khasbulaev wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bronson manages to pass to side control.

Khasbulaev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Khasbulaev.
Bronson scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bronson lands a couple of elbows.
Bronson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bronson won't allow Khasbulaev to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bronson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Khasbulaev is looking to stand up but Bronson isn't so interested in that idea.

Bronson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khasbulaev swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Khasbulaev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bronson is controlling him.

Bronson trying to control the position from guard on top but Khasbulaev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Khasbulaev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Khasbulaev pulls Bronson in to control the position.
Bronson connects with a couple of short punches.
Khasbulaev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bronson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bronson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Khasbulaev's head.
Bronson throws a big right hand that misses.

Khasbulaev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bronson chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khasbulaev is controlling Bronson's posture.
Bronson passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Bronson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Khasbulaev is rocked!
An elbow from Bronson crashes against the mat.
Khasbulaev is still in real trouble! Can Bronson finish him?
Khasbulaev is not content to let Bronson control the position.
Khasbulaev seems to have recovered his senses.
Bronson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khasbulaev is pushing Bronson's head away, looking to escape. Bronson manages to hold on to the position though.
Khasbulaev is not content to let Bronson control the position.
Khasbulaev is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bronson is controlling him well.
Bronson trying to control the action but Khasbulaev is working from the bottom.
Bronson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bronson is putting a hurting on Khasbulaev here, landing some big shots from side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Khasbulaev is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bronson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A clash of legs there as Bronson blocks the low kick.
A swing and a miss from Khasbulaev.
Bronson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Khasbulaev fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bronson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Khasbulaev scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bronson drops Khasbulaev with a naaaaasty hook - Khasbulaev is in real trouble here! Bronson dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bill Bronson!
Bill Bronson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
