The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guoga swings for the body but Rice moves out of range.
Rice seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Guoga throws a combination that misses
and Rice counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rice.
Rice has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Guoga uses from the top position.
Rice working for a triangle but Guoga defends it easily.
Rice is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rice could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rice has his foot on Guoga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Guoga works his way back into a safe position though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rice is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guoga defends well.
Guoga is sitting in close to Rice's body. Rice has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Guoga is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Guoga is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rice.
