Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lessnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebald Mak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mak cracks Lessnar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mak scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lessnar gets back to half guard.
Lessnar punching from the bottom.

Lessnar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Lessnar throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Lessnar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lessnar throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Mak wants to get up but he can't break Lessnar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lessnar is looking for a triangle but Mak pushes his legs off easily.
Lessnar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Lessnar has an active guard here but Mak has managed to pass into half guard.

Mak tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lessnar controls his leg.
Lessnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mak stalling.
Mak wants to stand up but Lessnar has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Lessnar is trying to get back to full guard.
Lessnar is breathing heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mak tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lessnar.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mak throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Nice sprawl there from Lessnar as Mak shoots in.
Mak misses with a two punch combination.
Mak tries a head kick but it misses.
Lessnar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mak fails with the takedown

and Lessnar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lessnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mak swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lessnar scoring with some ground and pound.
Mak trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Lessnar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mak wants to sweep here but Lessnar controlling him for the moment.
Mak wants to stand and escape but Lessnar is having none of it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mak is on top in guard.

Lessnar is looking for a triangle but Mak pushes his legs off easily.

Lessnar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mak stacks Lessnar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mak!
You can see the frustration on Lessnar's face as Mak controls the position.
Lessnar tries to buck Mak off but Mak is having none of it.
Mak just content to control the position.

Mak stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Mak clinches with his opponent.

Mak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sebald Mak will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

and Lessnar counters with a single leg into guard. Mak didn't expect that.
Lessnar is looking to work some ground and pound but Mak has wrist control.

Mak has his feet on Lessnar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lessnar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mak is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lessnar, into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lessnar, up you get!

Mak shoots in and drives through. Lessnar sprawls well.
Frank Lessnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebald Mak.
Lessnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mak throws a combination that misses

and Lessnar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mak's guard now.
Mak keeping moving, preventing Lessnar from controlling successfully.
Mak wants to stand up but Lessnar is controlling him.

Lessnar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mak is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lessnar, into his guard.
Lessnar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lessnar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mak displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Mak scores with a hook to the body. Lessnar takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mak lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lessnar circles away quickly and effectively.
Mak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mak tries for a takedown but Lessnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mak throws a body kick that misses.

Mak closes the distance and pushes Lessnar back into the cage.
Mak wants to break free but Lessnar has control.
Lessnar goes for a takedown attempt but Mak pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mak throws a combination. Lessnar tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mak scores with a jab. Lessnar acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mak throws a head kick but Lessnar moves out of range.
Mak shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lessnar takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Lessnar tries to keep at a distance but Mak has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lessnar prevents Mak from breaking the clinch.
Mak can't break the clinch.
Lessnar tries for a takedown but Mak manages to get underhooks.
Mak wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mak is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lessnar keeps control of Mak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mak wants to break the clinch but can't.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mak has Lessnar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lessnar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lessnar tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mak's elbow.
Lessnar keeps control of Mak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lessnar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mak clinches up with Lessnar and pushes him back against the cage.
Mak has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lessnar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mak prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mak wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lessnar has him pressed against the cage.
Lessnar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mak fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mak doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lessnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mak won't be happy with that.

Lessnar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mak is trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mak is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lessnar connects with a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Lessnar dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Mak shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lessnar shoots for a double leg takedown but Mak sprawls well. He's pushed Lessnar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mak throws a head kick that misses.
Lessnar tries to clinch there but Mak circles away.
Mak throws a series of strikes that have Lessnar backpedaling.
Mak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mak fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lessnar checks it well.

Lessnar tries to keep at a distance but Mak has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lessnar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mak gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Lessnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mak breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mak wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Mak moves into range and clinches up with Lessnar.

Lessnar can't get the takedown.

Mak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mak lands a body shot.
Mak lands a jab to Lessnar's midsection.
Nice uppercut lands for Mak. That snapped Lessnar's head back.

Mak shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mak showed some decent athleticism there.

Mak is taking a breather. Lessnar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Frank Lessnar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mak tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lessnar controls his leg.
Lessnar is looking for a sweep. Mak is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mak is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lessnar tries to get to full guard but Mak has control of the leg.

Lessnar is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mak pulls his head out easily.

Mak stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Mak is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lessnar rather than just go for the knockout.

Sebald Mak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mak avoids the head kick by Lessnar.

Mak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lessnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mak drives through and clinches with Lessnar against the cage.
Mak prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mak tries to break the clinch but Lessnar is controlling the position.
Mak wants a takedown but no success here.
Lessnar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mak lands a left hand.
Mak wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lessnar can't get the takedown.
Mak stalling the fight.
Mak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mak lands an uppercut.
Mak is trying to break free.
Mak gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lessnar.

Mak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lessnar shoots for a takedown but Mak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lessnar checks a leg kick.
Mak connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A left and a right from Mak both land. Nice combination.
Mak throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sebald Mak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
