Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Wan Soo (ranked 2438 p4p, 235 weight class) and Mark Marx Jr (ranked 4470 p4p, 404 weight class). Wan Soo comes to the cage accompanied by Rise of the Northstar - Welcame. Mark Marx Jr is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wan Soo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marx Jr in his tracks.

It looks like Mark Marx Jr has been cut.

Wan Soo takes the fight into the clinch.
Wan Soo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wan Soo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Marx Jr throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wan Soo blocks it with crossed arms.
Marx Jr has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wan Soo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Marx Jr jumps guard and drags Wan Soo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Wan Soo throws a strike but Marx Jr rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Marx Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wan Soo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marx Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Wan Soo's legs - danger averted.

Wan Soo has his foot on Marx Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marx Jr works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A short body shot lands from Marx Jr as the two fighters clinch.
Wan Soo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Wan Soo misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Marx Jr wants to get back to striking at distance but Wan Soo won't allow it.

Wan Soo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A right hook to the body lands for Wan Soo.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marx Jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wan Soo quickly recovers to half guard.
Marx Jr slips a nice elbow through Wan Soo's hands, connecting with Wan Soo's forehead.
Wan Soo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
