Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yasuhiro Akagi (ranked 780 p4p, 128 weight class) and Shark Attack (ranked 741 p4p, 121 weight class). Akagi comes to the cage accompanied by Nash the Slash - American Band. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yasuhiro Akagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shark Attack!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akagi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Attack.
Akagi feinted with a counter takedown.
Attack fails with the takedown.

Attack looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Akagi!
Attack works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Akagi is trying to control Attack's posture but Attack avoids it.
Attack with the ground and pound but Akagi regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Attack not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Attack sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Akagi defending well though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akagi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Akagi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Attack's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Attack's back!

Akagi is looking for a choke. Attack gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Attack manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Attack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Attack is looking to work some ground and pound but Akagi has wrist control.

Attack in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Attack lands a couple of elbows.
Attack postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Akagi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Attack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Attack stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Akagi has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Attack manages to get his head free but now Akagi has transitioned to an armbar! Attack grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Akagi! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
