Smaxsons's entrance music is "X gon' give it to ya" by DMX. A fine choice. Ray Jay Ray has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay Ray takes the fight into the clinch.
Smaxsons tries to break free but Jay Ray pushes him back against the cage.

Smaxsons is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jay Ray is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smaxsons to the mat. Smaxsons regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jay Ray is looking to work some ground and pound but Smaxsons has wrist control.
Jay Ray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smaxsons swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Smaxsons is looking to stand up but Jay Ray isn't so interested in that idea.
Jay Ray slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jay Ray unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Smaxsons! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Jay Ray is unloading with more strikes now! Smaxsons drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Jay Ray!
Clinton Smaxsons spoke after the fight, saying 'Much respect to my opponent and he has my full respect. I'll be back to avenge this loss. I have plenty of growth in me and I'll keep training hard. '.
