A head kick by Saint Orloff misses

so Alves counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Alves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Saint Orloff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Saint Orloff looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Alves passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alves has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Saint Orloff defend it? Alves steps over the head and cranks it - Saint Orloff is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Alves!
