Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Hayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Hayden acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayden shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Small but Small pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Small fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hayden sprawls well initially but Small persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Small wants to pass to mount but Hayden is defending the position.
Small trying to control from Hayden's half guard. Hayden has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Small throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hayden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hayden is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Hayden is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

Small missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Small throws a series of strikes that have Hayden backpedaling.

It looks like Jeremy Hayden has been cut.
Hayden gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Small counters with a big head kick but Hayden shrugs it off.

Small shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Small was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Small has control of Hayden's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hayden regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hayden is trying desperately to improve position.
Small throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Hayden tries to improve his position but instead Small has taken his back!
Hayden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Small. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Small is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Hayden with him. Hayden is trying to defend but Small has an arm under the chin now! Hayden grimaces and is forced to tap out!
