Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michael looks to clinch
and Siccuan counters with a straight right hand.
Michael misses with a body kick.
Siccuan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Michael throws a push kick but Siccuan slaps the foot to one side.
Michael is looking to clinch but Siccuan is avoiding it.
Siccuan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Siccuan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Michael.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michael doesn't manage to clinch there - Siccuan circles away.
Michael misses with a jab, cross combination.
It seemed like Siccuan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

letting Siccuan counter with a right hand.
Siccuan tries to keep at a distance but Michael has taken the fight into the clinch.
Siccuan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Siccuan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sloppy strikes from Michael. Those never looked like landing.

and Siccuan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Michael moves to clinch but Siccuan breaks away
letting Siccuan counter with a right hand.
Michael tries to clinch but Siccuan moves out of range.
Michael instigates a clinch.
Siccuan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Michael tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Siccuan smiles and moves away.

Michael has Siccuan up against the cage in a clinch.
Siccuan is trying to push Michael away but Michael has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Siccuan wants to get back to striking at distance but Michael won't allow it.
Michael manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Michael wants to stand but Siccuan is controlling the position.
Michael wriggles free and stands up.

Michael misses with a low kick.
Kerwin Siccuan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Michael looks to clinch
and Siccuan counters with a left to the body.
Michael tries to clinch but Siccuan is having none of it.
Michael moves into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Siccuan throws out a counter right but Michael avoids it with no problem.
Vance Michael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Michael pushes Siccuan up against the cage in a clinch.
Michael manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Siccuan wants to get up but he can't break Michael's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Michael wants to get back to his feet but Siccuan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Michael is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Siccuan has his hands clasped together but Michael extends and breaks Siccuan's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Michael.
