The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gori moves out of range of the body kick.
Leonardo Konate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good exchange - Konate coming out on top.
Konate tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gori manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gori scores with a nice strike.
Gori avoids a punch combination nicely.
Konate misses with a two punch combination.
Gori cracks Konate with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
No joy there for Gori, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Konate moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Konate is looking to clinch but Gori is avoiding it.
As Konate looks to move away, Gori throws a big counter combo but Konate just gets out of the way.
Nice body punch from Konate.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gori takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Konate lands a nice hook to Gori's body. Gori takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Konate digs a good body shot into Gori's ribs.
Konate moves out of range as Gori strikes.
Gori missing with a left hand there. Konate was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Konate unleashes a big counter combination but Gori bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Konate tries to clinch up.

Gori fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Konate, pushing him back against the cage.
Gori is trying to break free.

Konate decides to pull guard.

Konate escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gori gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gori would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Konate looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Gori stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Sloppy strikes from Gori. Those never looked like landing.
Gori throws out a loose jab but Konate uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gori connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Konate's hands.
Gori throws a jab when Konate was well out of range.
Gori misses with a hook. Konate ducked under it nicely.
Gori throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Konate wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gori is breathing heavily.
Gori takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Konate moves into the clinch successfully.
Gori prevents the takedown attempt.
Gori avoids the elbow strike from Konate, against the cage.
Konate jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gori walks away with a smile on his face. Konate gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gori throws a right and a left that both miss.
Konate lands with a shot to the body.
Konate tries to clinch but Gori moves out of range.
A left and a right from Konate both land. Nice combination.
Konate throws a one two combo.

Konate wants to slow Gori down by chopping away at his legs.
Konate just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromGori.
Konate throws a wild body kick that Gori sees coming a mile off.
Konate throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gori stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Konate dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Konate fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gori.
Konate lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Gori is looking to close the distance but Konate sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Gori crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Gori is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
