The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blesner decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Shimazaki fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blesner.

Blesner has closed the distance and engaged Shimazaki in a clinch.

Shimazaki is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blesner is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shimazaki to the mat. Shimazaki regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Shimazaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blesner defends well.

Shimazaki pushes a forearm under Blesner's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Blesner is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
